Our Laboratory
Dedicated analytical space where every batch undergoes rigorous quality assessment — from identity verification to purity analysis — ensuring researchers receive materials they can trust.
Laboratory Overview
At the heart of Xpress Chems is our in-house laboratory — a dedicated analytical space where every batch of material is assessed before it ever reaches a researcher. We do not rely solely on supplier documentation. Instead, we independently verify identity, assess purity, and document results using validated methods.
Our laboratory is staffed by experienced analytical chemists who understand the importance of accurate, reproducible results. They work with the same rigor that researchers apply in their own laboratories, because we believe that quality control should be held to the same standard as the research it supports.
The laboratory is integrated with our warehouse operations in the Netherlands, allowing us to maintain a seamless flow from receiving inspection to released inventory. This close coupling between analytical assessment and logistics ensures that only fully verified materials are available for shipment.
Independent verification
Every batch that enters our inventory undergoes independent analytical assessment. We don't just accept supplier CoAs — we verify them.
Analytical Capabilities
Our laboratory is equipped to perform a range of analytical procedures designed to confirm identity, assess purity, and document quality for every batch we handle.
Identity Verification
We confirm the identity of every batch using validated analytical techniques. This ensures that what we received is what we ordered — a fundamental requirement that protects researchers from misidentification.
Purity Assessment
We assess the purity of each batch using appropriate analytical methods. Results are documented in batch-specific records and, where applicable, included in Certificates of Analysis provided to researchers.
Visual Inspection
Every batch undergoes visual inspection as part of our quality procedures. While visual inspection alone cannot determine purity, it serves as an important screening step alongside analytical testing.
Packaging Inspection
Before any order leaves our facility, the packaging is inspected to ensure it is appropriate for the materials involved. Tamper-evident seals, moisture-resistant barriers, and secure containment are verified.
Retention Sample Storage
We maintain retention samples from each batch for a defined period. This supports traceability and allows for re-examination if any quality questions arise after a product has been shipped.
Certificate of Analysis
Where applicable, we issue batch-specific Certificates of Analysis that researchers can reference in their own work. These documents provide transparency and support experimental reproducibility.
Laboratory Equipment
Our laboratory is equipped with analytical instrumentation appropriate for the materials we handle. While we do not operate a public testing service, our internal capabilities allow us to perform the quality assessments necessary to ensure batch integrity.
Equipment is maintained and calibrated according to manufacturer specifications, and our analysts follow documented procedures for each analytical method. This ensures that results are consistent, reliable, and defensible — qualities that researchers expect from any laboratory they work with.
Analytical Balances
Precision weighing for sample preparation and purity assessment.
Spectroscopy
UV-Vis, FTIR, and other spectroscopic techniques for identity verification.
Chromatography
HPLC and GC systems for purity analysis and separation.
Temperature-Controlled Storage
Dedicated units for retention samples and temperature-sensitive materials.
Documentation Systems
Batch records, retention logs, and Certificate of Analysis generation.
Safety Equipment
Fume hoods, PPE, and chemical hygiene protocols for analyst safety.
Quality Assurance
Quality assurance at Xpress Chems extends beyond the laboratory. It is embedded in every process, from supplier qualification to final dispatch. Our QA framework ensures that quality is not an afterthought but a fundamental part of how we operate.
Supplier Qualification. We work only with verified suppliers who meet our quality standards. Before a supplier is approved, we assess their documentation, packaging, and track record. Ongoing monitoring ensures that standards are maintained over time.
Batch Documentation. Every batch that enters our inventory is accompanied by comprehensive documentation. Receiving records, testing results, and final release decisions are all captured in our quality management system. This documentation is available for review by researchers who need it.
Continuous Improvement. Our QA procedures are reviewed regularly. We incorporate feedback from the research community, update our protocols to reflect evolving best practices, and train our team on new methods and standards.
Audit Readiness. While we are a private company, we maintain our quality systems to a standard that would withstand external review. Researchers, procurement specialists, and institutional auditors can be confident that our documentation is thorough and our procedures are robust.
Documented quality
Every batch is accompanied by documented quality records. This traceability supports researchers who need to reference their materials in publications, regulatory submissions, or internal audits.
Partnering with Researchers
Our laboratory does not operate in isolation. We work closely with researchers to understand their needs, answer their questions, and provide the analytical documentation they require. When a researcher contacts us with a question about a batch, our analysts are available to discuss the results.
We also support institutional partnerships through dedicated account management and streamlined procurement processes. Universities, government laboratories, and biotechnology companies can establish accounts that simplify ordering, provide consolidated billing, and offer direct access to our quality documentation.
For researchers with specific analytical requirements, we can provide additional documentation or discuss our testing protocols in more detail. We believe that transparency should extend to every aspect of our operations — including the laboratory.
